Human Resouces Manager in Tamarac, Florida
Our Corporate Office in Tamarac, Florida has an opening on our team for a Human Resources Manager to manage HR functions for office and warehouse personnel located at the company's 9 locations in the U.S., Europe and Singapore.
Key Job Duties Include:
Administration: Maintain accurate records, files, reports and databases; Process status changes and complete headcount reports; Update employee handbook and HR sections of company intranet; Manage annual performance reviews and policy signing; Coordinate service awards and educational assistance payments.
Benefits: Assist employees with questions and claims; Handle monthly enrollments/terms; Direct annual open enrollment; Coordinate STD, LTD and FMLA; Prepare invoices; Complete 125c discrimination testing and 401k reporting; Process unemployment reporting and COBRA transmittals
Payroll: Process weekly warehouse and biweekly office payroll for 125+ employees using ADP; update ADP weekly; maintain reports and time-off records; process quarterly commission checks; prepare annual wage files; coordinate year-end activities, including payroll schedules and W-2s;
Recruiting: Manage process for exempt and non-exempt employees; post jobs, review resumes, coordinate and conduct interviews and testing, process background screens, set up drug testing, prepare and extend offers; conduct new employee orientation; process new hire paperwork and distribute benefit packets; manage temp hours and invoices; maintain applicant logs and affirmative action plan; complete EEO-1 and VETS 100 reports.
Safety & Workers' Comp: Establish and monitor safety initiatives; participate in safety meetings and inspections, distribute meeting materials; Maintain training, first aid, and CPR certifications; Investigate and document accidents and near misses; Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports; submit information to insurance carriers and provide status updates; Coordinate rehab efforts and alternate work assignments; Maintain OSHA forms.
Employee Relations: Assist managers and employees with interpretation of company policies and procedures; Address complaints, investigating potential problem areas and reporting to management; Partner with supervisors to address employee issues.
Organizational Development: Participate in the Quality Improvement Process and serve on the corporate Quality team; Develop goals and objectives as part of the company's strategic planning committee.
Key Qualifications Include:
At least 3-5 years professional experience across all HR disciplines
Bachelor's degree in HR preferred
Availability to work extended hours as needed
Excellent time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities
Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Superb organization and record keeping skills
Keen sense of accuracy with close attention to detail
High level of confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Good work ethic with a positive, productive approach
Computer skills including Excel and Word; ADP and database experience preferred
