Company History

Future Metals was founded in 1971 with a focus on the aerospace metals distribution services industry. With our founders’ knowledge, expertise and industry contacts, Future Metals quickly became established as a leading supplier of aircraft quality metal; tubing, extrusions, sheet, bar, and other products to the aerospace industry in North America.

In 1996, Future Metals became a member of The Marmon Group of companies, a global, diversified industrial organization that operates within many business sectors. Within the Marmon Group, Future Metals became affiliated with Marmon Keystone, a leading wholesale distributor of tubular products.

In 2008, The Marmon Group joined Berkshire Hathaway Inc., one of the world’s largest business conglomerates, with over US$400 billion in assets and nearly 300K employees worldwide. Some of Berkshire’s wholly owned subsidiaries include FlightSafety, NetJets, ISCAR, and GEICO, just to name a few.

Today, Future Metals operates as a part of the Marmon Aerospace Group, serving the global aerospace manufacturing and maintenance industry from 11 strategically located service centers in North America, Europe and Asia. We hold significant long-term contracts with leading aircraft OEM’s and their subcontractors around the world; the size and scope of which allows us to obtain highly dependable products, delivery and favorable pricing terms from our network of world class producers. In addition, we offer a variety of customized supply chain solutions and value added services to assist our customers in gaining a competitive advantage in the market place.
